Dear Miss Tinée: I noticed recently in your "Voice of the Movie Fans" section in the paper that several correspondents have voiced their disgust of the Keystone comedies, claiming that they are degrading. One went so far as to say that he could nto see how an intelligent audience could enjoy them. I don't agree with him. Besides enjoying the Keystone comedies, I and a lot of my friends make it a point to see every one that comes to town, especially those featuring Charlie Chaplin or "Fatty." I think they should appeal to any one with a sense of humor. Mr. Chapin, "Fatty," and "Mabel" are, to my belief, the best comedians in their line on the movie stage. They never fail to draw a laugh, even from the most serious minded, and deserve some credit. If the program of a movie picture theater were to include plays of the serious type only the public would soon tire of them.
