Palace Theater

The Palace Theater fronted the south side of Randolph Street between LaSalle and Wells Street, making it one of the Loop's westernmost movie houses. The grand Bismarck Hotel stood to the west of the theater.

The Palace Theater was opened in 1926 and was leased for many years by the nationwide RKO movie-house circuit. The theater could accomodate 2,500 movie-goers at a time.
