The Leopold and Loeb Case of 1924

Chicago's newspapers reported on every last detail of the crime and the lives of the pair that eventually confessed to having committed it. Among other things, newspaper photographers took pictures of Nathan Leopold's maroon-colored Wyllys Knight automobile, which was believed and eventually proven to have been used by Leopold and Loeb to kidnap, kill, and transport the dead body of Bobby Franks. This photograph appeared in the Tribune shortly before the pair confessed to the crime.
