The Leopold and Loeb Case of 1924

The investigation eventually focused on two college-aged acquaintances of the murder victim, Nathan F. Leopold, Jr., and Richard Loeb, both sons of prominent Kenwood families. Newspaper photographers clamored for and received access to the two young men, who at first seemed to enjoy the notoriety. The following photographs appeared in the Tribune shortly before the pair's alibi broke down.
